We got to Springfield around 11:30 - which still gave us plenty of time to walk around and look at everything. We ended up doing the customary overview walk. You know, getting the lay of the land, seeing if you recognize anyone, looking for fiber friends, mentally calculating how much money you COULD drop if you had it with you, taking in all the hundreds of bags of fiber, the colors and textures ... A sensory overload.
The photo above is only HALF of the bags of fiber. Bags as far as the eye could see ... what a dream! And the smell was amazing. Just amazing.
My daughter took to 'Harmony'. She is a CVM/Romeldale - CVM being the coloring. She was beautiful and LOVED having her chin scratched. I think the two of them could have stayed in one place staring and scratcing for hours.
Sorry she's ever so slightly blurry. I was using my iPad for photos this trip rather then my camera. She was such a treat to spend time with. She can be found at the Palmer Family Farm in Tolland, CT.
There was SO much to see ... SO many booths and SO many beautiful things going on. I was able to run into friends from The Common Ground Fair - Romeny Ridge Farm, Hope Spinnery, and Good Karma Farm.
My daughter loved the Fashion Show and both kids loved the Sheep Shearing Demonstration. They watched in amazement as the shearer easily handled the sheep and in no time flat had a bit of a naked sheep walking around! What fun.
Here's a photo rundown of some of the vendors ... there were so many I couldn't possibly post each and every one ... but you can get an idea.
